Building A Bulletproof 2020 Portfolio: Part I

In Part I of this series of articles, I will be taking you through the process I use for building my annual Canadian equity portfolio. Although I have been an active investor for almost 15 years now, it wasn’t until about three years ago that I nailed down a process I am truly comfortable with. Using this methodology, the results have been positive so far. In 2017 and 2018 I beat the benchmark index ETF, the iShares Large Cap Index ETF (XIU) by more than 10%, and this year I am on pace to beat the Index ETF by about 7%.
